Barrier Reef Gelcoat rates the same standard as Anti-Microbial Gelcoats
There is a lot of talk in the market of present about a new Anti-Microbial gelcoat that our competitors are now using. Barrier Reef Pools uses a gelcoat supplied by CCP, this gelcoat does not contain Anti-Microbial additive. CCP has done vigorous testing of gelcoats containing Anti-Microbial additive and a gelcoat without the additive (our gelcoat). The 7 samples were sent off to Japan for testing and have come back with some fantastic results for our gelcoat. As the attached states the gelcoat we use was panel no 7, when tested all the 7 panels passed and received the same results. Therefore our panel without the new anti-microbial additive still passed and received the same results as the panels with the anti-microbial additive. The very interesting test result that was found was to do with fading. As you will see in the attached panel no 7 faded the least of all the panels, showing that the panels with anti-microbial additive as fading quicker than our gelcoat (panel no 7).
So if you are in the process of choosing between a Barrier Reef Pools shell and a shell containing anti-microbial additive then you can now be assured that our gelcoat is to a higher standard. We pride ourselves on quality and if there was any doubt that the materials in our pools were not to a high standard then we would not be using them.
A few questions that you can ask our competitors that are stating they use Anti-Microbial additive in their gelcoats include:
- If the gelcoat fights the Bacteria and Algae then why do I need a chlorinator?
- If it only fights a % of the Algae and Bacteria then can I reduce my chlorinator hours and save power/money?
- Can I extend the testing times now I have less to worry about?
- Will you warrant my pool that the water will never contain Algae or Bacteria now I have an Anti-Bacterial gelcoat.?
Barrier Reef takes the Trifecta
Barrier Reef Pools WA has taken home all the trophies in the Lap Pool category at the recent SPASA WA Awards for Excellence. Brad and the team took out Gold, Silver and Bronze in the category with 3 magnificent 12m Lap Pools. The three pools are shown in our Lap Pool range photos, take a look and see how stunning the lap pool is in the ground. It is a perfect addition to an entertainers backyard with centred entry steps and a constant depth end to end. As it is a narrow pool of 2.8m and 3.45m at the steps it will fit into your yard like a jigsaw peice running down the side of the house or fence line.
A very big Congratulations to Brad and the team at Barrier Reef Pools WA!
